  • One of the kids decides to actually play dentist on their younger sibling

When it’s a problem

At times, dental emergencies come up with no real explanation. You may have infected cuts in your mouth that become infected and painful. You may suffer an abscess and need immediate treatment. And at times, you may need a prescription for analgesics to get through until your office appointment. The same goes for broken dentures, lost crowns or fillings. Things like a broken tooth should be taken care of right away.

That’s why at Arena Family Dental we are committed to serving our patients, even when it’s not particularly convenient. If you are in dental distress, or just need to determine whether your oral pain is serious, give us a call.

Perhaps you have just bitten into an apple or were chewing a piece of candy and you feel something dislodge a tooth or you feel a painful sensation inside your mouth. Or, one of your children is playing a sport and runs into another player and suffers from a loose tooth.
What would you do? Don’t panic!
These things happen in life and can be handled effectively and efficiently. For dental emergencies and emergency dental appointments, we are here to help you. Besides from the culprit being a piece of food or a physical injury, there are other causes for emergency treatment. One example of this situation is an abscess. An abscess is a puss-filled cavity that results from an inflammation and it is most likely caused by a bacterial infection. The puss needs to be drained by medical personnel; left untreated, the puss will eventually rupture. An abscess is extremely painful. The pain may radiate to other parts of the face and cause the person to feel physically ill. A prescription is able to be given to you to make you more comfortable until it can be properly treated. Cuts in the mouth may become infected and also be the source of discomfort. Whatever is the root of your dental problem, we are able to provide you with relief, day or night.
